On the October 30th, 2009 showroom the "LIGHT GALLERY" in Simferopol gathered Crimean architects and designers for resuming up the competition ‘Light in architecture and design’ which lasted for 6 months and accompanied by trainings at the best European lighting manufacturers.
According to the juries decision Elena Sherstuk and Olga Litvinenko were awarded with the Grand Prix in the category ‘Lighting in the interiors’ and they gained a trip to Belgium to visit the Delta Light factory, the Grand Prix in the category ‘Architectural Lighting’ got Aleksandr Mukomelov and Elena Tseluyko and they’ll go to Italy and visit Artemide. Moreover Nikolay Vdovin, Olga Dudarenko, Vladislav Bovkun, Pavel Grishakov, Aleksandra Batovskaya, Vladimir Verbitskiy, Oleg Churin, Antonina Churina, Yuliya Dovgan, Aleksandr Kolimbet, Sergey Sukhin and Mila Lukiyanenko were rewarded with valuable prizes.
Five more competitors were awarded with annual subscription for the Salon magazine and three participants were awarded with money certificates from the sponsor of the competition - Gira company. In the beginning of the event M.I.K SCHORR representatives - the head of the project department Sergey Belokon, the head of electrical installations Igor Tsys and the director general Ekaterina Pogrebniak told guests about its latest achievements and the possible ways of co-operation. The evening terminated with a funny party full of jokes, contests and prizes (see photos).

On the August 14th, 2009 showroom "LIGHTS GALLERY" in Simferopol the Crimean architects and designers got to know better with knowhow and possibilities of Gira company.
Its history begins from 1905 when two brothers Gustav and Richard Giersiepen got a toggle switch patent and founded the company "Gebrüder Giersiepen, Fabrik von Apparaten für elektrische Beleuchtung".
In more than 100 years of the perfect activity Gira became the symbol of reliability in the field of electrical installation.
Dmitriy Klepikov, who is the Deputy Director of the “Sirius-93” (is the exclusive representative of TM Gira in Ukraine), told guests of the show-room about achievements, advantages and technical peculiarities of the company. The master-class was held within the bounds of competition “Light in architecture and design” and Gira is the sponsor of it.

On the July 30th, 2009 in showroom "LIGHTS GALLERY" (Simferopol) the master-class from Delta Light took place.
Founded in 1987 by business manager and designer Paul Amelot, today Delta Light is the leading and trendsetting company in architectural lighting.
It has been created a huge variety of technical light for interiors, exteriors and improvement of the territory for 20 years of its existing.
The training in Simferopol was held by Sabina Cornale, an international sales manager. She narrated guests about the properties and possibilities of architectural light and showed different projects which were realized in the world.
The real preset for show-room guests was The Light Bible - the catalogue of Delta Light products.

On the July 9th, 2009 in showroom "LIGHTS GALLERY" the master-class by the factory MARINER took place.
The architects and designers of the Crimea were informed about company foundation, its facilities and plans for the future. Eduardo Karasov (Export Manager Europe) and Jorge Mariner (CEO) told guests about the used materials in their products and demonstrated a great number of interesting and complex installations.
Open and friendly atmosphere of the meeting will be memorized both by guests from sunny Spain and architects and designers who arrived to that master-class.

On the June 19th, 2009 in showroom "LIGHTS GALLERY" within the bounds of competition “Light in architecture and design” the master-class from ITALAMP took place.
Founded in 1975 by Mr Matteo Vitadello today ITALAMP company is famous all over the world. The main idea of the company is creation of new ideas in order to renew traditions. Nowadays the ITALAMP style is characterized as expression of the past and present times and meeting point of great traditions and future innovations.
To tell the guests about the company, projects and news designer Roberta Vitadello came accompanied by Assistant Giulia Valentini and Senior Area Manager of company Codital Andrew Fishman.
Roberta narated to Crimean architects and designers about the process of lamp design creation, the source of her inspiration and the realization of her ideas.

Book TAIF Mythologie, devoted to chandelier Taif, was represented by M.I.K SCHORR and Barovier&Toso companies on 19^th June, 2009 in show-room LICHTHAUS
Chandelier Taif was created in 1980 by the order for a new residence of the King of Saudi Arabia in Taif city. Angelo Barovier, Barovier&Toso designer, combined in the chandelier traditions of Venetian classics and new stylistic trends.
Taif shows us new perspectives of the Classic while preserving all the formal quality and value of the glass from Murano, the chandelier offers its new perception.
TAIF Mythologie book, with the assistance of Enrico Morteo and Marco Strina, tells us a history of lamp, which reflects the value of Italian design and the mysterious and eternal quality of the ‘classical’.
The idea of the book grew out of the unique quality of Murano glass, which transforms color into volume and form.
The presentation was in the rout conception and was accented by black-tie. More than hundred guests (architects, designers, businessmen, celebrities and media) got real séance of gastronomic colorful therapy accompanied by harp.
TAIF Mythologie book with an autograph of Luciana Borinato (export manager Barovier&Toso) was gifted to all guests.

On 22 May in Simferopol showroom "LIGHTS GALLERY", within the bounds of competition “Light in architecture and design” took place the second master-class that was held by representatives of Targetti Group: Andrea Conti (factory Esedra), Tiziano Fegatelli (factories Targetti Poulsen and Luceviva) and Ksenia Olaffson (factory Louis Poulsen).
The guests of the showroom were acquainted with the last developments of the factories, plans for future as well as many other interesting projects.

The next master-class that will be held within the bounds of competition and will take place on 19 June 2009. The leading designer of Italian factory Italamp, Roberta Vitadello, will hold it.

Company M.I.K SCHORR organized a trip for 14 leading architects of Ukraine to Milan, to International Lighting Euroluce-2009, that took place from 22 till 27 of April 2009.
The main subject of this year exhibition was “Light in the City”.
The products of more than 500 leading manufacturers were presented on 43 000 ì² of exhibition hall.
Among the most impressive tendencies of the exhibition were using the newest lighting sources of high efficiency, new generation materials, implementation of “smart” systems of light management. During the trip architects and employees of M.I.K SCHORR were visiting stands and special events organized by exhibitors who were cooperating successfully with our company for a long time.

M.I.K SCHORR is thankful for support in organizing the trip to companies Artemide, Firme di Vetro, Beby Group, Vibia, Baga, Italamp, Zonca, Prearo, Possoni, Laudarte, as well as publishing houses of magazines "Object" and "Decor" for presenting photomaterials.

On 18^th of April in showroom "LIGHTS GALLERY" (Simferopol), within the bounds of competition “Light in architecture and design” took place a master class of factory RZB (Rudolf Zimmerman Bamberg).
In front of the guests of the showroom made a speech the leading manager of RZB company Eugeniy Grushko, who is responsible for export policy with companies of CIS, Central and Eastern Europe.
Master-class was dedicated to nowadays problems of modern light.
The architects and designers who visited that event, got acquainted with the newest investigations of RZB in the field of decorative, office and outdoor lighting.
Special attention Eugeniy paid to the lighting fixtures that considered the last world tendencies in illumination of the spaces.
Also, he told about peculiarities of design and informed about last investigations of the company related to energy saving. His speech was accompanied with slide show that gave the samples of lighting solutions. In addition, the guest of the showroom had a chance to acquaint with samples and made sure personally in high quality of presented products.
On completion of the master-class the guests were invited to the restaurant, where they continued communicating in free and easy way.
The similar events had been hold by Eugeniy before in Dnipropetrovsk and Kiev for employees of M.I.K SCHORR.

The next master-class will take place in Simferopol on 22^nd of May 20090 and will be held by representatives of Targetti Group.

April 10^th "LIGHTS GALLERY", our show-room in Simferopol, celebrated its triennial. Designers and architects from the whole Crimea came to congratulate Oleh Prokop`ev and Yana Tkachenko – show-room’s chiefs.
Beach party concept of anniversary opened Crimean beach time.
It was announced a competition called ‘Light in architecture and design’ on the party. The main goal of it was increasing architect’s and designer’s attention to the lightening of interiors, exteriors and landscapes.
During the competition in "LIGHTS GALLERY" will be open the entry gallery and every show-room’s visitor could see projects. Also during the competition in the show-room master-classes will be given from such companies like RZB, Targetti Group, Italamp, Artemide, Gira etc.
